Since 2004, Cents Ability has taught free financial literacy workshops to teens throughout the New York City area. Working alongside the National Endowment for Financial Education (NEFE), our founding members developed a curriculum that is both educational and engaging for today's teens. Our curriculum is divided into eight 45-minute modules so that even the busiest teen, as well as the volunteers who teach them, can manage the commitment.
In 2013, our Executive Committee members completed a comprehensive revision and enhancement of our program curriculum. As a result, our updated material and activities are even more relevant to today’s teens.
In 2014, Cents Ability created our first ever take home resource, a student workbook. It is filled with dozens of interactive activities and enables students to continue their learning journey outside of the classroom.
